Day Tour: Borobudur Temple & Prambanan Temple Tour

Tour Program (2024 Update):

Start Time:

Pick-up from your hotel in Yogyakarta at 9:00-10:00 AM (depending on the ticket session availability; ticket availability is limited, so confirmation before the tour is recommended).

Travel to Borobudur Temple:

Drive Time: Approx. 2 hours to reach Borobudur Temple.

Borobudur Temple Visit:

Visit Borobudur Temple with a local guide (per group, per session). Please note that the maximum number of visitors per group is 10 people.
Explore the magnificent Borobudur Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and learn about its rich history and cultural significance.

Mendut Temple Stop:

After visiting Borobudur, return to the car and drive for 15 minutes to Mendut Temple.
We will make a brief stop to explore Mendut Temple, another important historical site in the area.

Lunch Break:

Enjoy a traditional Indonesian lunch at a local warung (restaurant). We will choose a place near Prambanan Temple for lunch.

Prambanan Temple Visit:

Drive Time: After lunch, we will head to Prambanan Temple, which is about 2 hours from Borobudur.
Visit the beautiful Prambanan Temple with a local guide (provided for each group).
Explore the Prambanan Temple complex, a stunning example of Hindu architecture.

Optional: Visit Malioboro

After visiting Prambanan Temple, if time allows, we can drive to Malioboro to explore and shop for souvenirs.

End of Tour:

Return to your hotel in Yogyakarta, where the tour will conclude.

Private car with a driver for the full day.
Fuel for transportation.
Local guides for both Borobudur and Prambanan temples (per group, per session).
Entrance fee to Prambanan Temple.
Lunch at a local warung (Indonesian restaurant).

Free car parking at the sites.
Drop-off at your hotel in Yogyakarta.

The second day we saw the sunrise from a view point that we reach with 4x4 jeep crossing the volcano desert and then we climb Bromo. 

Then we move on hotel near Ijen. At 00:30 we moved to Ijen where a guide take us to see the famous blue fire. After that we enjoyed the sunrise.

We visited a waterfall and went to harbor to go to Bali. On Gilmanyuk ther was another guy who pick up us and take to Ubud.

Instead we visited very touristic place, we did that without feeling “tourist” because the tour was private and it was organized in a way that let us feel our experience authentic . The price is competitive and you will know also nice people who will help you to enjoy the trip while relaxing yourself.

Car, driver and staff are absolutely perfect, all was perfectly organized.

We choose homestay instead hotel and places were quite clean with basic bathroom. Is possible to choose hotel that probably could be more comfortable but you have to keep in mind that you will sleep 4 hours per night.

					  Très belle expédition  - Nous avons réservé le 3j/2n a partir de Probolinggo. Dani notre chauffeur pour les 3 jours est venu nous chercher a l' aéroport et nous en conduit tous les jours.... read more Le Bromo et le kwa ijen sont évidement magnifiques. L'hôtel de la 2eme nuit est absolument magnifique avec une piscine chauffée de 25m. Nous avons aussi eu un problème sur la chambre (odeur de cigarette) mais Pepe a appelé l'hotel pour nous changer de chambre.

Dani était tres cool et a l'écoute. La prise en charge est complète, nous avons juste à profiter et nous reposer quand on le peu (les nuits sont courtes). Des bouteilles d'eau sont fournies tous les jours. Je recommande vivement

					  3d2n: Bromo Ijen from Yogyakarta  - I strongly recommand Pepe Java tour. I have looked a lot of other companies but this was the best quality/price ratio by far. We went on a private car from... read more Yogyakarta with our driver Sugik. He was really adorable and was trying his best to speak english. The Bromo and Ijen tour were well organized with good hotels. What a pity we were staying only few hours in the ijen view hotel! Pepe is easily reachable by WhatsApp and really arranging. They also propose activities on the way like a 200m waterfall or coffee degustation. 

We already sent several relatives to do a tour with Pepe, can't recommand more!
